Additional FAQs

Escrow plays a crucial role in the surrogacy, egg donation, and sperm donation process, ensuring that funds are managed safely and transparently for everyone involved. At Clarity Trust, we recognize the complexities of the financial aspects of this journey. Our team is here to answer all your questions about how escrow works, what to expect, and how it can give you peace of mind as you grow your family.

Understanding Clarity's Role

Clarity serves as an independent third-party fund administrator for fertility journeys. Our role is to securely hold, manage, and disburse funds according to the governing agreements, payment schedules, and authorized instructions.

As a neutral administrator, Clarity does not represent the interests of intended parents, surrogates, agencies, attorneys, clinics, or any other party involved in the journey. This neutrality is one of the key safeguards that helps protect all parties throughout the process.

Clarity provides standardized fund administration services. To maintain operational efficiency, consistency, and reasonable fees for all clients, Clarity generally does not negotiate individual agreement provisions. Our focus is on secure fund administration, transparent reporting, and timely disbursement processing.

Transparency Every Step of the Way

We understand that intended parents are often entrusting significant funds to support a life-changing journey. That's why transparency is built into every account we manage.

Through the Clarity Portal, clients can:

  • View account balances in real time

  • Track deposits and disbursements

  • Access transaction history

  • Review supporting documentation when applicable

  • Monitor key financial milestones

  • Receive notifications regarding account activity

Our goal is to ensure that clients always know where their funds are and how they are being used.

What Clarity Does and Does Not Do

Clarity's responsibility is to administer funds according to the applicable agreements and payment schedules.

Clarity Does:

  • Hold and safeguard client funds

  • Process authorized payments

  • Maintain transaction records

  • Provide reporting and account access

  • Coordinate with agencies, clinics, attorneys, and other approved parties

Clarity Does Not:

  • Provide legal advice

  • Interpret or modify contracts

  • Represent any party in a dispute

  • Determine whether a party has breached an agreement

  • Serve as an auditor or investigator

This distinction helps ensure Clarity remains a neutral administrator throughout the journey.
